Program

'...hears it, glowing...' was first commissioned by Sharan Leventhal. It is a piece that I have many fond memories of writing. It is a very quiet and pensive piece. A main musical idea takes a long time to emerge. So much of the music must be played ever so quietly. But the music does swell and features some unusual colors of the cello before slowly fading away.
