Program

'alien radio' is a solo work for bass clarinet that was written for my now wife, Sophie Kass. She commissioned it for her senior recital at Boston Conservatory.

The work is an indeterminate meditation, with musical cells that are repeated at the will of the performer. 

It imagines the sounds of alien communication, using the unusual and otherworldly timbres of the bass clarinet.
