Program

'Binary Complex' was written for my good friend David Angelo, for his senior recital at Boston Conservatory.

The piece is almost completely aleatoric. The performers are given time stamps and musical cells to repeat. The title comes from the idea of a musical paradox. The way this music is contracted, each performance will contain infinite variations and subtleties, while also existing and occurring within a finite set of time.
