'Styrofoam ashes/shrine' is the fourth work in a series about shrines.
This piece is a reflection on landfills and the massive waste we human force upon the earth.
Beauty juxtaposed with trash. The sacred and clear harmonics of the cellos paired with a distorted over-vibrated cello voice. Quiet marimba chords and a frying pan filled with water.
Eventually time runs out, and the bells toll, spinning the strings into a fury.
The work murmurs quietly to its end, with a quiet little song sung in the pizzicato cello and marimba.
