Completion: January 2019

Instrumentation: 2222 - 4231 timp 2-perc hp strings

Duration:10' minutes approx.

'of stars and dust' is a small fantasia inspired by thoughts from star gazing and hiking in Franconia Notch New Hampshire. While traversing mountains and looking into the glorious valleys in NH, I'm reminded of small we are in our universe. How infinity is in both the macro and the micro and how there is a lot in between stars and dust. There aren't any recurring themes in the traditional sense, but several recurring shapes, each slightly different and always transformed by every appearance. Celestial ruminations in the upper strings and stretched earthy brasses pass each other by like comets.
