'Granite Shrines' is the work that spawned several others in a series about shrines. It is inspired by the experience of different locations, each small and sacred. Sometimes the place is defined by a sound, or an image. The screech of the T at Boylston Street, the hum of printers in the library. The Sutherland Road T stop on the B line in the morning. Wind chimes, rain and loud blaring car radios as they drive by. There are for landmarks in this piece, four sections, four shrines.

Each episode is closed by a small improvisatory section.

This work is heavily inspired by many shrines I've found living in Boston these past few years.
