About

Completion: January 2018 Natick MA USA

Instrumentation: Marimba and Violin

Duration: 9' minutes approx.

Commission: Commissioned by Sharan Leventhal

Premier: Premiered by Sharan Leventhal in March 2018.

Program

This is the second, in a series of works written for Sharan Leventhal.

The work is a long meditation on strange whole tone melodies that never quite find a way to end.

The marimba serves as a pensive springboard that the violin soars over.

The path is long and winding, much like the daydreamer's strange songs.
