What follows is the account of Ray Bartlett, recorded one year and a day after the encounter at Burleson Hill, NC March 13th, 1993. While the events cannot ever be truly be confirmed or denied, it should be noted that there is no known surveillance recording from the area in question. However a local radio station did report picking up disturbing sounds that matches the description of the event, but not the alleged timing. Their recording has been preserved, but the audio file is severely damaged. Whether the recording and the alleged event are related cannot be determined as there were significant weather disturbances reported that night that could have impacted the transmission. Whiteout conditions were observed during the alleged time of the event. A geographical survey of the area in question has confirmed that the surrounding vegetation has ceased growth, though there is no known or accepted cause. More conclusive evidence is needed before a determination can be made. Regardless, this file is one of many that suggest that the creature called the Cicada is incredibly dangerous. The enclosed files contains all remaining evidence of the alleged 'Cicada Encounter: 1993'.
