Sometimes I look back at the things I got to do at UNCSA or Boco and think, 'Man, those were the days'.
I loved getting to work with the drama students and the film students. I can honestly say that those experiences have shaped me so much, planted seeds for me that are now growing in my garden.
I'm sure that you feel the same way about many of your past experiences.
There is something special about looking back fondly on past experiences or achievements.
And it is very easy to romanticize those times.
Easy to cut out the things that were weighing you down at the time.
And looking back, I really do feel this way about most of the different periods of my life.
Perhaps you do the same.
And the thing I have to keep reminding myself is:
That's true today as well.
That today is going to be a memory one day.
And that the things that I do now, have a huge impact on where I'm going.
And the same is true for you. What you do today has a huge impact on where you are going.
These are the days.
What you do today matters.
You are literally writing your own story today.
